Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Belarus will develop new areas of cooperation

Prospects for joint activities in the industrial sphere were discussed at the Innoprom-2023 exhibition by the Minister of Industrial Policy of the region Dmitry Khmelko and the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Rogozhnik.

«Following the agreements reached by the leadership of the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Belarus, last year our department and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic approved a roadmap for the implementation of joint projects. This is the Russian-Belarusian production of combine harvesters and reapers in Ust-Labinsk, production of Belarus tractors at the manufacturing facilities in the village of Starominskaya, and other directions,» said Dmitry Khmelko.

The head of the department noted that in March this year, the first stage of Belarusian-Russian manufacturing of harvesters and reapers has taken place. The enterprise has already assembled 10 units of agricultural machines. By the end of the year, the company is expected to produce 45 combine harvesters and 55 self-propelled mowers.

An assembly plant of Belarusian tractors operates in the village of Starominskaya. 275 tractors were assembled in 2022, and 255 items were assembled since the beginning of 2023. By the end of the year, it is planned to manufacture about 1,000 units of equipment, to expand the portfolio with tractor models for viticulture and horticulture.

The Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Belarus plan to jointly produce road-building and utility equipment, as well as localize in Kuban the production of Belarusian passenger public transport.
