A single register of active marinas and investment projects for new yacht dockages will be established in Kuban

The yacht tourism growth points and measures for the integrated development of yachting in the region were discussed at the meeting in Krasnodar.

At present time, existing marinas are able to take no more than 600 ships simultaneously, but they are in demand and filled in high season by more than 100%.

Shipowners of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and other cities of the country are arriving mainly to the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Region, who are ready to leave their yachts for wintering if modern marinas are created in the region. And these are hundreds of millions of rubles from the lease of dockages and costs of tourists at the resort, which will fall into the regional budget in the form of taxes.

However, currently existing investment projects for the construction of marines on the Black Sea coast do not take into account either the tonnage of vessels or the dimensions of modern yachts. In addition, the location of existing marines on the Black Sea coast of the region does not allow the creation of an area of so-called intensive yachting, when the distance between the dockages is no more than 20 miles.

Taking into account this distance, the Municipal Formations Anapa, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk and Sochi Cities and Yeysk, Temryuk and Tuapse Districts, together with the Department for Architecture and Urban Planning of the Krasnodar Region, it is necessary to identify potential sites for the creation of marines and intermediate dockages, associated infrastructure, in particular, infrastructure for small aircraft – helicopters and seaplanes.

Until the end of the year, the Ministry of Resorts of the Krasnodar Region together with the Municipal Formations of the sea resort areas will establish a single register of operating marines, as well as investment projects for the creation of new yachting dockages.
