A charging station for electric vehicles opened in Krasnodar
The first in the region stationary charging station for electric vehicles started operating in Krasnodar.
- Today is a historical moment for the region - a charging station for electric vehicles complying with all requirements and standards of the federal law is being opened. Kuban is growing to become one of the pioneers in the country that is embarking on the development of a chain of charging stations for ecologically clean transport and its holds a key from the future, - articulated Vasily Shvetz, Manager of the Investment and SME development department at the official opening ceremony.
He also added that the parking and charging of electric vehicles for the owners would be free. It suffices to press a special card against a device and connect a power cable to a car in order to connect the electric vehicle to a power source.
As reported by Vasily Shvetz, the station on Theatrical Square with a charging capacity of 22kW is the first out of ten that is planned to be deployed in Krasnodar until the end of this year. It is also planned to launch additional eight stations for electric vehicles with a capacity of 50kW in the regional capital this year. The stations will be located at municipal parking lots and close to the shopping malls.
The charging station on Theatrical Square delivers a current of 25 amps with a capacity of 15kW, enabling to charge an electric vehicle for 1.5-2 hours. At the same time, it is the first parking lot for two electric cars in the region.
